Clarity finally hit Chicago’s battered quarterback room on Sunday. Tyson Bagent has cleared concussion protocol ahead of Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he will not start.
Veteran quarterback Case Keenum will start for the Chicago Bears on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. Although backup Tyson Bagent cleared concussion protocol, the team opted to start Keenum because Bagent missed most practice repetitions while in protocol. Keenum's appearance marks his first NFL start since December 24, 2023, while Bagent will serve as the active backup.
Starting quarterback Caleb Williams remains sidelined after suffering a Grade 2 hamstring injury that doctors reportedly view as a three-to-four-week issue. The Bears have not placed Williams on injured reserve, leaving open the possibility of a quicker return depending on his rehabilitation progress.
