Kevin Vallejos believes Ailin Perez beat Norma Dumont fair and square.
UFC featherweight Kevin Vallejos has defended Ailin Perez following her controversial decision victory over Norma Dumont at UFC Vegas 121. The women's bantamweight clash ended in a unanimous decision for Perez, with all three judges scoring the bout 29-28. Despite widespread criticism of the outcome and disbelief from Dumont, Vallejos dismissed claims that the result was a robbery.
Agreeing with comments from Uruguayan fighter Gaston Reyno on social media, Vallejos stated he also scored the bout 29-28 for his fellow Argentine. Vallejos argued that Perez did enough to win the close third round and asserted she deserves a UFC title shot. Perez is now on a seven-fight winning streak, while Dumont has suffered two straight defeats.
