The Story in 60 Seconds

Mehemmedali Osmanli's feud with Ilimbek Akylbek Uulu escalated following their bantamweight final of "The Ultimate Fighter 34" on September 26 at UFC Vegas 121 in Las Vegas. The fight ended prematurely less than halfway through the first round when Osmanli delivered an illegal knee to a grounded Akylbek Uulu. Because Akylbek Uulu could not continue the bout, the referee stepped in and awarded him the victory via disqualification.

Following the disqualification loss, which halted a nine-fight unbeaten streak and marked the second defeat of his career, Osmanli accused Akylbek Uulu of exaggerating his injuries. Speaking on Instagram Live, Osmanli labeled his rival a "clown" and claimed Akylbek Uulu initially grabbed his leg before putting on an act only after the referee intervened.
