Knights make final cuts, paving way for Trevor Connelly to make NHL roster

The Vegas Golden Knights placed five players on waivers Sunday to trim their active roster to 22 players ahead of Tuesday's season opener against the Chicago Blackhawks. Forwards Jonas Rondbjerg, Alexander Holtz, and Tanner Laczynski, alongside defensemen Ville Heinola and Antti Tuomisto, will report to the Henderson Silver Knights if they clear waivers on Monday.

The roster reductions position 20-year-old forward and top prospect Trevor Connelly to make his NHL debut. Head coach Ryan Craig praised Connelly's training camp performance after the 2024 first-round pick recorded seven shots in three preseason games. Additionally, Raphael Lavoie is slated to secure the 13th forward position.
