Brentford in talks with Schade

Brentford have opened talks with forward Kevin Schade regarding a new contract with improved terms following his strong start to the season. The 24-year-old Germany international is understood to be open to extending his stay with the Premier League club, though negotiations are currently at an early stage and not expected to move quickly.

Schade has scored three goals in five Premier League matches this season and started Jurgen Klopp's first two matches as Germany national team manager. The forward previously joined Brentford from Freiburg in 2023 for a then club-record permanent fee of £22m following an initial loan spell, and his existing deal is set to expire in 2028.
