‘Absolutely huge strides’: Portsmouth boss praises Rich Hughes’ inspirational role in Fratton Park transformation

Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho has commended sporting director Rich Hughes for his transformational impact at Fratton Park as Hughes marks four years at the club. Appointed in September 2022 from Forest Green Rovers, Hughes implemented a new club model, oversaw player recruitment, and guided the team back to the Championship following a League One title win in Mousinho's first full season.

Beyond on-pitch achievements, Mousinho emphasized Hughes' vital role in driving substantial infrastructure improvements. These upgrades include modernizing the training ground facilities, moving out of temporary Portakabins, and overseeing 78 player signings across his tenure.
