Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is the only player in Everton's current squad who played at the 2026 World Cup in North America. Everton originally had four representatives at the tournament, but Iliman Ndiaye, Idrissa Gueye, and Nathan Patterson have all since departed the club following the summer transfer window.
New arrivals Brennan Johnson, Christian Nørgaard, and Merlin Röhl did not feature at the tournament, as Wales and Denmark did not qualify and Röhl remains uncapped at the senior level. Pickford has served as an ever-present goalkeeper for club and country since joining Everton from Sunderland in 2017.
