Lausanne-Sport will face Red Devils in bid to keep players fit and firing during three-week hiatus
Manchester United are reportedly set to play a behind-closed-doors friendly against INEOS-owned Swiss side Lausanne-Sport during the international break. Both clubs are aiming to maintain player sharpness during the extended three-week hiatus. The fixture could also provide defender Matthijs de Ligt with minutes as he nears a return after undergoing summer surgery for a long-term back issue.
Lausanne-Sport currently sit bottom of the Swiss Super League and feature Manchester United loanee Sekou Kone and former academy player Tyler Fredricson. Meanwhile, United face multiple injury concerns, with Patrick Dorgu returning from Denmark duty with a hamstring injury, while Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Kobbie Mainoo have also dealt with injuries.
