Manchester United and bitter rivals Liverpool are poised to go head-to-head for an explosive African wonderkid who's making waves.

Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly monitoring 16-year-old Gambian winger Alieu Saine ahead of a potential permanent transfer battle. According to Football Insider, scouts from both Premier League clubs watched Saine during the WAFU Zone A U-17 tournament, which Gambia won.
Saine finished the tournament as the top scorer and was subsequently invited to train with Gambia's senior national team. European clubs Benfica and Celta Vigo are also reportedly tracking the youngster, who features alongside Manchester United target Omar Marong.
