Manchester United's latest position on JJ Gabriel has come to light even as a new suitor storms into the race to further complicate matters.

Manchester United remain determined to retain teenage prospect JJ Gabriel despite making little progress in contract discussions with his camp. The 15-year-old requested to leave the club earlier this month and appears unlikely to sign a scholarship deal when he turns 16 at the end of October.
Gabriel holds an EU passport that permits a permanent move abroad before age 18. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have reportedly held talks regarding the forward, while RB Leipzig and Chelsea are also monitoring his availability.
