The Tampa Bay Lightning have officially finalized their 23-man roster for the 2026-27 NHL season ahead of their opening game against the New York Rangers. To achieve salary-cap compliance, the club loaned Benjamin Rautiainen to Tappara and placed forwards Yanni Gourde and Dominic James on injured reserve. The opening roster comprises fifteen forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders.
Head coach Jon Cooper is opting for veteran depth to open the campaign, including roster spots for Jansen Harkins and Scott Sabourin alongside 22-year-old center Conor Geekie.
