On the eve of the season, Bengals offensive coordinator Dan “Nostradamus,” Pitcher predicted a break-out season for Amarius Mims in his third year and the right tackle who turns 24 in two weeks has turned out to be a plague…

Cincinnati Bengals right tackle Amarius Mims has delivered an elite start to his third NFL season, leading all tackles with 111 pass-blocking snaps without allowing a pressure. Pro Football Focus ranks Mims as the NFL's second-best pass-blocking right tackle with at least 100 snaps, trailing only Lane Johnson, after Mims limited Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt across 57 snaps on Sunday.
Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher and head coach Zac Taylor praised Mims' technique and poise ahead of Sunday's matchup against Travon Walker and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Taylor also confirmed that rookie wide receiver Cobie Young has been ruled out with a knee injury, while the playing status of safeties Bryan Cook and Kyle Dugger remains uncertain.
