Logan Mailloux’s injury leads to Adam Jiříček’s return as Blues roster finalized

St. Louis Blues defenseman Logan Mailloux suffered a right-hand injury during a fight with Chicago Blackhawks forward Cole Smith in a preseason game on Saturday. The Blues announced Monday that Mailloux underwent hand surgery and will be reevaluated in eight weeks, potentially keeping him sidelined until December.

Following the injury, the Blues recalled rookie defenseman Adam Jiříček from the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds to the NHL roster. St. Louis also placed Calle Rosén on waivers and claimed defenseman Justin Barron off waivers from the Nashville Predators.
