Young patients receiving treatment at New Cross Hospital are continuing to benefit from the support of Wolves Lottery, with specially donated gaming consoles now installed within the newly transformed children’s oncology rooms.
Young patients undergoing cancer care at New Cross Hospital now have access to donated gaming consoles in newly refurbished children's oncology rooms. The equipment was officially unveiled on September 29, 2026, by Wolves Lottery's Alison Bryen as part of a collaborative initiative funded by Wolves Lottery players in partnership with Your Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity.
The project aims to provide comfort and distraction for children during lengthy hospital stays. Alongside the gaming consoles, the rooms feature colorful artwork created by local artist Mr Murals to establish a calmer, less clinical environment for patients and their families.
