Unai Emery supporting friends back in Spain – Aston Villa coach vocal at special ceremony for Damià Vidagany

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery traveled to Spain during the international break to attend a ceremony honoring his colleague Damià Vidagany. Vidagany, who has served as Aston Villa's Director of Football Operations since 2023 after previously working at Valencia, was awarded the Gold Medal of the City of Llíria. Emery also prepared for an upcoming match against his former club Sevilla in the Antonio Puerta trophy.

While attending the event, Emery spoke with Spanish media and publicly backed his close friend Braulio Vázquez, who recently returned to Valencia as sporting director. Emery praised Vázquez's commitment to the club and highlighted their long-standing professional and personal connection dating back to their shared tenure at Valencia.
