Celtic captain Callum McGregor has come under real pressure, but a former teammate has issued a defence.

Former Celtic midfielder Charlie Mulgrew has defended Callum McGregor amid the veteran midfielder's dip in form during the club's recent struggles. Celtic have lost their last three matches, leading to scrutiny over team performance and systemic issues.
Speaking on The Breakdown, Mulgrew rejected claims that age is catching up to McGregor, arguing that his fitness levels remain high. He also noted that McGregor's struggles to control games have been compounded by pressure from opponents and the departure of midfield partner Arne Engels.
