Triple-A Salt Lake wins MiLB’s Best New Alternate Identity award

The Salt Lake Bees won the 2026 MiLB Award for Best New Alternate Identity for their "Dirty Sodas" persona. The Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels wore the alternate uniforms during Wednesday home games throughout the season. The identity was named the winner on MLB Network after capturing 25 percent of a nationwide online fan vote, edging out the Columbus Scrambled Dogs and Louisville Humidity.

The alter ego celebrates Utah's popular beverage trend of carbonated drinks mixed with syrup and cream. Salt Lake Bees partnered with Rare Design and drink chain Swig, which operated an on-site location featuring promotional offerings and a giant outfield cup hit by player Denzer Guzman in May.
