Javier Tebas has spoken out following reports that Manchester City have been found guilty of the majority of the 115 charges brought against them
La Liga president Javier Tebas has called for Manchester City to face the harshest punishment possible under Premier League rules if found guilty of financial breaches. Speaking at London's Fifpro performance summit, Tebas stated that any penalties must set an example and firmly penalize non-compliance.
Tebas's comments follow reports that Manchester City were found guilty of the majority of 115 financial charges brought against them. The most severe sanction available is expulsion, which requires approval from at least 15 Premier League clubs, though club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak maintained confidence in proving City's innocence.
