Everton transport ‘needs sorting’ says Premier League official

Premier League corporate affairs director Max Chambers stated that transport links around major grounds, including Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, are not good and need sorting. Chambers highlighted the significant strain that new stadiums place on local infrastructure following Everton's relocation from Goodison Park, emphasizing the necessity of early preparation and persistence to address crowd management.

To help resolve matchday congestion, Liverpool Council's planning committee approved proposals to extend the queuing area at Sandhills railway station on a second attempt. The transport upgrades arrive as the venue prepares to host matches for UEFA EURO 2028 under the ownership of The Friedkin Group, which acquired the club from Farhad Moshiri in December 2024.
