Walton contract extended by a year

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton has signed a one-year contract extension, committing his future to the club through 2029. The 30-year-old shot-stopper had two years remaining on his previous agreement before committing to the fresh extension. Walton expressed his pride in representing Ipswich Town in the Premier League and continuing his stay with the club.

Walton initially arrived on loan from Brighton in 2021 before completing a permanent switch. Manager Gary O'Neil praised Walton's contributions and leadership within the squad's goalkeeping unit following his recent return to the starting lineup.
