The Atlanta Braves have removed 27-year-old pitcher Ricky Vanasco from their 40-man roster on Tuesday, September 29. The move was made to clear roster spots for players including Rowdy Tellez and Luke Williams. Vanasco was previously claimed off waivers by Atlanta from the Detroit Tigers organization in late August but did not make a major league appearance for the Braves.
Vanasco pitched 6.1 innings across five games for the Tigers in 2026, allowing 11 earned runs. Following his move to the Braves organization, the right-hander posted a 7.88 ERA over 8.0 innings with Triple-A Gwinnett. Across his major league career, he has pitched 10 1/3 innings and surrendered 14 runs.
