Florida Panthers Assigned A Slew Of Players To The Charlotte Checkers

The Florida Panthers made their final roster cuts ahead of the NHL deadline, assigning a large group of players to their AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers. Among those sent down after clearing waivers were Nathan Bastian, John Beecher, Sam Lafferty, Alexander Petrovic, Cole Reinhardt, Cole Schwindt, Kai Schwindt, and Donovan Sebrango, alongside several prospects who did not require waivers.

The Panthers also released multiple players from professional tryouts, finalizing an opening roster of 21 players featuring 12 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders. Additionally, Brad Marchand opens the campaign on injured reserve, while Jonah Gadjovich was placed on the injured/non-roster list as Charlotte prepares for the upcoming AHL season.
