Manager unhappy with rumours around Fulham attacker – Lies spread to ‘create a stir’

Bangladesh national team manager Thomas Dooley has dismissed rumors claiming he had a dispute with Fulham attacker Farhaan Ali Wahid or the player's father. Reports in Bangladesh suggested a confrontation had occurred and that the 19-year-old winger wanted to leave the camp. Dooley called the rumors false claims made to create a stir, clarifying that the player was substituted against Malaysia and benched against Singapore strictly for performance reasons.

Ali Wahid, currently on a season-long loan from Fulham at Boreham Wood FC, made his senior international debut for Bangladesh in a 3-0 defeat against Malaysia before remaining an unused substitute in a 1-0 loss to Singapore. Bangladesh has already been eliminated from the FIFA Asean Cup following the two defeats and will face Indonesia on October 1.
