Klay Thompson expressed high motivation after participating in his first training camp practice with the Miami Heat at Florida Atlantic University. The Heat signed the 36-year-old guard following his buyout by the Dallas Mavericks over the summer. Thompson joins a revamped Miami roster that features Bam Adebayo alongside new additions Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Bobby Portis.
Entering his 14th active NBA season, Thompson needs just 75 more 3-pointers to pass Ray Allen for third on the league's all-time list. Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra noted that Thompson's championship experience is widely respected across the team, while Thompson emphasized his focus on pursuing another title and continuing to climb the NBA record books.
