Wallabies great Michael Hooper was impressed by Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii’s performance in the 42-38 win over the Springboks.

Former Wallabies captain Michael Hooper praised Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii's shift to the wing following Australia's 42-38 victory over the Springboks. Hooper argued on Stan Sport's Between Two Posts that the 23-year-old was more influential in a single start on the wing than in his recent outings at outside centre. Suaalii claimed the opening kick-off, dominated aerial contests, and set up two tries during the first half.
Head coach Les Kiss shifted Suaalii to the wing to accommodate Len Ikitau's return to the No. 13 jersey. Ikitau scored two tries before leaving the match with an ankle injury, while full-back Tom Wright earned Player of the Match honors. Hooper noted that playing on the edge should allow Suaalii to establish a better overall rhythm.
