Thomas Tuchel tips Jude Bellingham for major England honour as talks revealed

England manager Thomas Tuchel has backed Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham to eventually become the permanent England captain. Bellingham wore the captain's armband in the closing stages of England's 2-0 Nations League victory against Czechia in Prague, taking over after Harry Kane was substituted following goals from Anthony Gordon and Kane.

Tuchel revealed he held discussions with Bellingham regarding his workload, agreeing that a 30-minute appearance off the bench was best. While Bellingham picked up a minor late knock, Tuchel expressed hope it is not serious ahead of England's upcoming Nations League match against Croatia.
