Manchester United have found an original way to recycle the old Old Trafford pitch. Replaced this summer for the first
Manchester United is selling pieces of its former Old Trafford pitch to supporters for 125 pounds sterling (€145) each, according to a report from The Sun. Replaced over the summer for the first time in 14 years, the turf was sliced into 7 cm by 7 cm cubes and packaged in black presentation boxes featuring a stadium photograph as collectible memorabilia.
The sales initiative comes amid financial challenges for the club, which posted a pre-tax loss of €54 million for the 2025-2026 financial year despite achieving record revenues. Manchester United has previously sold turf prior to the 2012-2013 season, following similar initiatives by clubs like FC Barcelona and Arsenal.
