Pirates Prospect update: Seth Hernandez named top MLB Prospect in FSL

Pittsburgh Pirates top prospect Seth Hernandez has been named the Florida State League's top prospect following a dominant campaign with the Bradenton Marauders. In six starts with Bradenton, the right-handed pitcher posted a 3-0 record, an 0.96 ERA, a 0.71 WHIP, and struck out 50 batters over his tenure while holding hitters to a .135 batting average.

Selected sixth overall in 2025 out of Corona High School, the 20-year-old concluded his first pro season 6-1 with a 2.43 ERA across 74 innings. Hernandez rose from the 26th-ranked prospect to seventh overall in baseball and is projected to make his MLB debut by 2028.
