Richard Walker gave his first interview as Wolverhampton Wanderers' new under-21 head coach on the club's Wolves Express podcast. Walker was officially appointed to the position on a permanent basis earlier in September 2026 after serving as interim manager from the beginning of the summer. He previously led the club's under-18 squad.
During the episode, Walker discussed transitioning into the role, his coaching philosophy, and the progress of the development side this season. Academy director Jon Hunter-Barrett also appeared on the show to explain why the former Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale defender was selected to lead the under-21 group.
