The Houston Astros fans didn't show up for Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series against the Chicago White Sox and boo'd their own team. It's a bad look, and it's something Cincinnati Reds fans should be mindful of.

Writer Drew Koch argues that Cincinnati Reds fans should not imitate Houston Astros supporters, criticizing Houston's crowd for low attendance and booing their own players during a 6-3 postseason defeat. Koch contends that the Astros fanbase has grown spoiled after frequent ALCS and World Series appearances, whereas Cincinnati has not hosted a playoff game since 2012.
The Houston Astros dropped Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series against the Chicago White Sox in front of more than 7,000 empty seats at Daikin Park. Astros reliever Bennett Sousa acknowledged that the home fans may be spoiled by past success, while Koch urged long-suffering Reds fans to remain supportive rather than booing their players when postseason baseball returns.
