Saints Women duo called up for England youth teams

Southampton FC Women players Meg Collett and Saffia Rae have earned call-ups to England youth national teams. Defender Meg Collett has been selected for the England Women's under-23s squad, while 17-year-old midfielder Saffia Rae will join the under-19s group.

Collett has captained Southampton in all four league fixtures under manager Simon Parker this season and will join Lydia Bedford's under-23 side to play Norway in York on October 12. Rae, who has made three substitute appearances this campaign, will take part in under-19 European Championship qualifying matches against Denmark, Switzerland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
