Several former Ottawa Senators players have cleared NHL waivers over the past week following final preseason roster cuts. Instead of being claimed, the group of familiar skaters and goaltenders will begin the upcoming hockey season assigned to various American Hockey League affiliates.

Among those sent down are former first-round pick Colin White to Utica, goaltender Mads Søgaard to Syracuse, and the trio of Cole Reinhardt, Angus Crookshank, and Donovan Sebrango to Charlotte. Other former Senators heading to the AHL include Dennis Gilbert, Josh Brown, Noah Gregor, Dylan Gambrell, Maxence Guenette, and Christian Wolanin.
