Joey Logano suffered a setback in the NASCAR Cup playoffs at Kansas after a late flat tire relegated him to a 20th-place finish. The result dropped the Team Penske driver from third to fourth in the standings, leaving him 67 points behind leader Kyle Larson. Logano had started on the pole and collected stage points before the tire failure cost him roughly 10 to 15 points.
Despite the deficit, Logano remains optimistic about his championship chances heading into favorable tracks like Las Vegas, Martinsville, and Phoenix. He emphasized that NASCAR's postseason format allows drivers to erase large gaps quickly through stage points and race victories.
