Wilmer Flores headlines a number of former SF Giants players who did not play in MLB n 2026 and had to go outside the U.S. to play baseball.

Several former San Francisco Giants players spent the 2026 season playing professionally outside the United States following the Giants' 65-97 season. Wilmer Flores signed with the Mexican League's Toros de Tijuana, batting .298 with 11 home runs to help manager Roberto Kelly's team win the championship alongside teammate Justin Turner. Fellow former Giants Thairo Estrada and J.D. Davis also played in the Mexican League during the 2026 campaign.
In Japan's NPB, Jerar Encarnacion batted .293 with 11 home runs for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, while pitcher Sean Hjelle recorded a 3-10 record with a 3.38 ERA across 21 appearances for the Orix Buffaloes. Following his release in Mexico, Davis joined the Kansas City Monarchs in the American Association.
