The Green Bay Packers have agreed to a one-year contract with veteran guard Kevin Zeitler, adding another former first-round pick to an offensive line that has struggled through the first three games of the season.
The Green Bay Packers have signed veteran guard Kevin Zeitler to a one-year contract worth $4.05 million, which can reach $5 million with incentives. The 36-year-old Wisconsin native joins Green Bay after starting 16 games for the Tennessee Titans last season. The move addresses offensive line struggles after the Packers averaged an NFL-low 48.7 rushing yards per game through their first three games.
Zeitler is the third former first-round offensive lineman acquired by Green Bay recently, following additions Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton. Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich indicated the Packers will look to integrate the newcomers quickly following an injury to right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele and inconsistent line play.
