The Story in 60 Seconds

Carolina Panthers cornerback Mike Jackson underwent surgery on Tuesday to address a groin injury suffered during the Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Dave Canales noted that neither Jackson nor cornerback Jaycee Horn, who suffered a quad injury, is expected to miss the entire season, estimating a recovery timeline of about eight weeks. Both players were placed on injured reserve ahead of the Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Despite the setback, Jackson returned to the facility on Wednesday to mentor younger defensive backs, including Will Lee III and Akayleb Evans.
