Kyrie Irving now appears to have multiple potential escape routes from the rebuilding Dallas Mavericks. Rival NBA executives are not convinced that Irving will finish out the 2026-27 season in Dallas, Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer reported on Wednesday.
Kyrie Irving has emerged as a potential trade candidate, with the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat viewed as two early suitors, according to Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer. Rival NBA executives are reportedly skeptical that the 34-year-old guard will finish the 2026-27 season with the Dallas Mavericks following his recovery from a torn ACL.
The Mavericks are undergoing a major rebuild after trading Anthony Davis, buying out Klay Thompson, and hiring head coach Dusty May. Although Dallas currently maintains it intends to keep Irving, his substantial contract and the franchise's direction have raised questions about his long-term future with the team.
