The San Diego Padres swept the Chicago Cubs in the NL Wild Card Series with a 4-1 victory in Game 2 at Petco Park on Wednesday night. With the win, San Diego advances to the National League Division Series to face the Brewers in Milwaukee. During the contest, Ethan Salas made history by becoming the youngest player to catch in an MLB postseason game at 20 years and 121 days old.
San Diego took an early lead in the second inning via an RBI single from Xander Bogaerts and a sacrifice fly by Salas. After Chicago's Nico Hoerner drove in Seiya Suzuki in the third, Gavin Sheets hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to seal the 4-1 result.
