The San Francisco Giants announced an injury update regarding infielder Matt Chapman following the conclusion of their 2026 regular season. Chapman, who was sidelined on July 1 with an abdominal strain, is continuing his rehabilitation in Arizona and is expected to be ready for Spring Training.
Chapman concluded his 2026 campaign batting .235 with seven home runs and 42 RBIs across 84 appearances. The Giants finished the season fourth in the NL West with a 65-97 record, missing the postseason after concluding their schedule with a 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
