Tahlia McGrath's all-round dominance at Junction Oval came at the perfect time before she steps in as ODI skipper

Tahlia McGrath struck 154 off 137 deliveries and claimed two wickets for South Australia against Victoria, delivering a major confidence boost ahead of her role as interim national captain. The all-rounder will step in to lead Australia during the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh in Brisbane, replacing regular skipper Sophie Molineux as she recovers from a hip injury.
The century at Junction Oval was McGrath's first in any format since September 2022, following limited middle time over the last 18 months. Her domestic performance arrives right before a packed summer schedule that includes the ODI series starting October 9, a T20I series against New Zealand, and WBBL|12.
