Anthony Gordon has credited his £69.3m summer move from Newcastle United to Barcelona with elevating his overall game and technical awareness. The 25-year-old winger explained that playing in a possession-oriented system has highlighted his decision-making and football intelligence beyond his well-known pace and pressing ability.
Gordon has started his Barcelona career strongly with five assists in seven appearances alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. His form carried into international duty, where he scored against Spain in a 3-2 defeat and netted the opening goal in England's 2-0 win against Czechia, drawing praise from Thomas Tuchel and Harry Kane.
