Chelsea forward Joao Pedro took the chance to see a specialist regarding his knee injury which kept him out of Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad.

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro may face a longer spell on the sidelines than initially expected after visiting a specialist regarding a knee injury. The Brazilian forward experienced discomfort during a 2-2 draw with Hull and was held out of Chelsea's 3-0 defeat against Brentford before also withdrawing from the Brazil national squad.
Initial reports suggested Pedro would be sidelined for up to four weeks, but the specialist visit indicates his recovery timeframe could be extended. The forward has been vital for manager Xabi Alonso this season, recording three goals and three assists in Chelsea's opening five Premier League fixtures.
