The former Liverpool defender says there can be no future in the Premier League for any executives involved in the scandal

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher stated that Manchester City's owners must sell the club following a guilty verdict for breaching Premier League financial rules. Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Carragher argued that the position of all implicated executives is untenable and called for their disqualification under the league's owners' and directors' test.
An independent commission concluded that Manchester City circumvented financial regulations through sham commercial deals across nine seasons. While Manchester City and sponsor Etihad Airways intend to contest the findings, former manager Pep Guardiola voiced strong support for the club's ownership.
