Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos has backed Tottenham loanee Souza to shine at FC Porto.
Brazilian soccer legend Roberto Carlos has publicly backed Tottenham Hotspur loanee Souza to succeed during his season-long loan spell at FC Porto. Speaking at the Portugal Football Summit, Carlos praised the 20-year-old left-back's quality and expressed certainty that the former Santos defender will deliver strong performances for the Portuguese champions.
Souza joined Porto on a season-long loan on August 31 after Tottenham signed Andy Robertson on a free transfer. Although he has remained an unused substitute across four matches under manager Francesco Farioli, injuries to Martin Fernandes and Zaidu have opened a path for Souza to potentially debut in an upcoming friendly against Deportivo La Coruna.
