Russell Martin is set to welcome another new signing to his Leicester City squad

Leicester City are set to sign free agent midfielder Will Smallbone on a three-year contract, reuniting him with manager Russell Martin. The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been without a club since his contract with Southampton expired in the summer, and he is expected to become Martin's 15th signing at the King Power Stadium.
Smallbone previously played 50 matches under Martin during Southampton's 2023-24 promotion campaign before spending last season on loan with Millwall. Despite interest from Championship side Sheffield United, the midfielder is now poised to bolster Leicester's midfield alongside John Lundstram.
