Two senior executives at rival Premier League clubs have said they would be 'staggered' if 15 clubs voted to expel Manchester City following the verdict on their financial breaches

Two senior Premier League club executives reportedly believe it is unlikely that 15 clubs would vote to expel Manchester City following the verdict on their financial breaches. The executives warned that expelling the club would constitute a commercial disaster and result in substantial lost revenue for the rest of the league. City were found guilty of breaching financial regulations spanning from 2009/10 to 2017/18, though the club rejects the charges and plans to appeal.
Potential punishments under consideration include relegation, points deductions, fines, and transfer embargoes. While some clubs worry City's continued presence hurts the competition's credibility, others fear expulsion's financial fallout. Pundit Gary Neville argued that the only fair punishment would be removing City's ownership.
