Ranking Mariners’ in-house replacements for Randy Arozarena, from worst to least bad

Zachary Rymer of Sodo Mojo evaluated the Seattle Mariners' internal options to replace free agent outfielder Randy Arozarena in left field. With Mariners owner John Stanton reportedly reluctant to commit major contracts to players in their 30s, Rymer anticipates Seattle will explore replacing Arozarena from within rather than re-signing him.

Rymer ranks the candidates from worst to least bad: Dominic Canzone, Lazaro Montes, Michael Arroyo, and Brendan Donovan. Rymer views Donovan as the most reliable internal choice defensively and offensively, provided Seattle addresses its infield elsewhere.
