Italy hit the crossbar twice in Armenia and Luca Koleosho saw his penalty saved, but…

Italy Under-21 kept their European Championship qualifying hopes alive with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Armenia. Milan prospect Alphadjo Cisse scored a dramatic late winner by following up on a rebound after Armenian goalkeeper Hayk Ghazaryan stopped an effort from Luigi Cherubini.
The Azzurrini endured a frustrating match, striking the woodwork twice through Cisse and Pietro Comuzzo before Luca Koleosho had his penalty kick saved by Ghazaryan following a handball by Petik Manukyan. The victory ensures Italy remains in contention to top the qualifying group ahead of a decisive clash with Poland.
