A new CBS Sports 2027 NFL mock draft by analyst Mike Renner projects the Los Angeles Chargers to select Ole Miss defensive tackle Will Echoles with the 14th overall pick. Renner highlights Echoles as an interior penetrator capable of creating backfield disruption, addressing an element the Chargers' defensive line currently lacks.
Bolts From The Blue writer Michael Peterson notes that while offensive needs appear prominent, elite interior defenders remain valuable. Measuring 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, Echoles recorded three tackles for loss and a half sack through four games this season while consistently influencing plays.
