Wallabies coach Les Kiss has explained the selection of Toby Macpherson in the 34-man squad for the Bledisloe Cup Series.

Wallabies coach Les Kiss explained his decision to call up uncapped forward Toby Macpherson to Australia's 34-man Bledisloe Cup squad. Kiss highlighted Macpherson's versatility across the second row and flanker positions, viewing him as a logical replacement for Exeter Chiefs forward Tom Hooper, who is unavailable due to club commitments.
The 22-year-old ACT Brumbies forward enjoyed a breakout Super Rugby Pacific campaign, making 13 appearances and captaining the side in Super Rugby AUS. Kiss also noted the absence of Taniela Tupou and Charlie Cale from the 19-man forward pack, while Harry McLaughlin-Phillips joins Macpherson as the squad's second uncapped selection.
